In the wilderness, God gave them manna and quail from heaven (Psalm 78:24,27 ). In Canaan, He sent rain to make the land fruitful (Deuteronomy 11:11 ). God’s spiritual blessings are like rain too—He sends His Spirit and His Word to refresh and strengthen His people (Isaiah 45:8; Psalm 72:6 ).
