All the triumphs of Israel are really triumphs of God, and his presence is the center of their success. v. 1 : The psalmist says it is a special honor for Judah and Israel that “God is known; his name is great in Israel” . God chose to reveal himself to Israel in a way he did not do for other nations. The people are blessed because they have knowledge of God in their land and in their hearts ( see also Psalm 147:19-20 ).
