Rev 5:5 | MHM | STEP | v. 5 : But one of the elders comforts John and says, “Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” (Revelation 5:5 ). This means that Jesus Christ, who is called the Lion of Judah and the Root of David, is the only one worthy and able to open the book. He is both God and man, and as the Savior and King, He alone can reveal and carry out all of God’s plans for salvation and judgment.
