‏ Revelation of John 8:3

v. 3: Seven angels are given seven trumpets. Angels are God’s servants and carry out His plans with wisdom and obedience. Each angel has a part to play, just as God gives every person their work.

v. 3–4: Before the trumpets sound, another angel offers incense with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar (Revelation 8:3 a). This angel is likely Jesus, our High Priest, who brings our prayers before God. All true believers pray, especially in times of danger or hope. Our prayers need Jesus’ help to be accepted by God, and He provides everything we need—His incense, His altar, and His own merit.
