Zechariah 2:13
v. 13: All the earth was commanded to be silent before the Lord. God had risen from His holy dwelling to act on behalf of His people: "Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling" (Zechariah 2:13 a). This silence symbolizes reverence and submission to God’s power and plans. Both God’s enemies and His friends were called to remain silent. His enemies would be silenced by His justice, and His people were to wait quietly for His salvation. This verse reminds us to trust in God’s timing and His ways, knowing He will complete His work perfectly (Habakkuk 2:20 b).
