‏ 1 Corinthians 10:19-20

v. 19–20: Paul asks, “What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons”(1 Corinthians 10:19-20 a). He agrees that idols are not real gods, but warns that joining in idol feasts is like having fellowship with evil spirits. Just as taking the Lord’s Supper means sharing with Christ, eating at idol temples means sharing with demons.
