v. 9: He explains, “For we know in part and we prophesy in part”. Our knowledge and spiritual gifts are limited and incomplete in this life. Even the best knowledge and prophecy only give us a small glimpse of God’s truth.

v. 10: Paul adds, “But when completeness comes, what is in part disappears”(1 Corinthians 13:10 ^a). When we reach heaven and see God fully, we will no longer need these partial gifts. The perfect life in heaven will make the gifts of this life unnecessary.
