If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me” (1 Corinthians 14:10-11 ). Every language has meaning for those who understand it, but if people do not know the language, it is just noise. Speaker and listener become like foreigners to each other.
