1Jo 2:29 | MHM | STEP | v. 29 : John continues, If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him (1 John 2:29 ). Since Jesus is righteous, all who live righteously show they are truly His children. Living in obedience and doing what is right is a sign that someone is born of Christ and renewed by His Spirit (Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 1:30 ). Those who faithfully do what is right prove they are born from above and belong to God (John 1:12 ).
