‏ 1 Kings 6:7

v. 7: The materials for the temple were prepared ahead of time, so that when they were put together, there was no noise of hammer or axe at the building site (1 Kings 6:7 a). This quietness showed respect for God’s house. Solomon taught that it is wise to prepare well before starting a big project (Proverbs 24:27 b). The temple was built in peace and silence, unlike when it was later destroyed with noise and violence (Psalm 74:4,6 c). This peaceful construction also symbolized the harmony and reverence that should characterize our worship of God.
