Because Solomon did not ask for wealth, honor, or long life, God also gave him riches and fame beyond any other king (2 Chronicles 1:11-12 ). This teaches us that when we prioritize spiritual blessings, God often adds other blessings as well. As James says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach (James 1:5 ).
