‏ 2 Corinthians 7:10

v. 10: He explains that godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death(2 Corinthians 7:10 a). Godly sorrow comes from recognizing sin as an offense against God. This kind of sorrow changes the heart and brings life. Worldly sorrow, like feeling sorry only for the consequences, leads to despair and spiritual death. True repentance always leads to salvation and is never something to regret.
