2 Kings 24:13-15
v. 13: Nebuchadnezzar took all the treasures from the temple and the royal palace. He also took the gold articles that Solomon had made for the temple. This fulfilled the prophecy that everything in the king’s house would be carried away to Babylon (2 Kings 24:13; 2 Kings 20:17 a; Daniel 5:2-3 b). v. 14-16: Nebuchadnezzar carried away many people from Jerusalem, including the king, his family, the leaders, soldiers, and skilled workers. This weakened the city and made it easier for Babylon to control Judah. Among those taken were important people like the prophet Ezekiel (2 Kings 24:14-16; Ezekiel 1:1-2 c; Esther 2:6 d). –
