2 Samuel 18:6-7
v. 6-7: The battle took place in the forest of Ephraim, where David’s forces defeated Absalom’s army. About 20,000 men were killed (2 Samuel 18:6-7 a). The rebels suffered for their treason and ingratitude toward David, their rightful king. This shows the danger of rebelling against God’s anointed and the consequences of following a usurper. –
