Acts 5:30
v. 30–32: Peter continued, saying, “The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him to his right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him” (Acts 5:30–32 a). Peter was not afraid to tell the truth, even to the people who had power over him. He said that Jesus is the one who saves and forgives, and that the apostles and the Holy Spirit are witnesses to this truth.
