‏ Acts 7:23

v. 23–24: When Moses was 40 years old, he felt a desire to visit his fellow Israelites and help them. He saw an Egyptian mistreating an Israelite and killed the Egyptian to defend his brother. Moses believed that his actions would show the Israelites that God was using him to deliver them, but they did not understand. This was the beginning of Moses’ role as a deliverer, but the people were not ready to accept him.
