Dan 4:23-24 | MHM | STEP | v. 23–25 : Daniel explained that the cutting down of the tree showed a decree from the Most High God that would soon happen to the king (Daniel 4:23–24 ). Nebuchadnezzar would lose his throne, be driven away from people, and even lose his mind. He would live like an animal in the fields, eat grass like an ox, and be wet with dew from the sky. This time of suffering would last seven years, until the king learned that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives power to anyone he chooses. This would happen so that Nebuchadnezzar and everyone else would know that God rules over all kingdoms and gives them to anyone He chooses.
