Deuteronomy 23:7
v. 7-8: Edomites and Egyptians were treated differently. If an Edomite or Egyptian became a follower of God, their grandchildren could become full members of Israel. Edomites were related to Israel, so they were not to be hated. Egyptians had once given Israel a home, even though they later became oppressors. God told Israel not to hold a grudge, but to remember the good as well as the bad (Numbers 20:20 a).
