‏ Deuteronomy 28:47-48

v. 47-48: Because they did not serve the LORD with joy and gratitude when they had plenty, God would make them serve their enemies in hunger, thirst, and need of everything. Instead of being blessed, they would become slaves to their enemies, and God would put a yoke of iron on their neck. This demonstrates that if people do not serve God gladly, they may find themselves forced to serve others in much worse ways (Deuteronomy 28:47-48 a).
