He says, But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us , brought us to life in Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5 ). God’s mercy is abundant, and His love is great. Out of His kindness, He saves sinners who are spiritually dead. Paul emphasizes that by grace you are saved . Salvation is not something we earn, but a gift of God’s love and mercy.
