Ephesians 3:4-6
v. 4: When the Ephesians read what he wrote, they can understand his insight into the mystery of Christ (Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ; Ephesians 3:4 a). v. 5: Paul says that in previous generations, people did not know this mystery. Now, however, the Holy Spirit has revealed it to Christ’s apostles and prophets (Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Ephesians 3:5 b). v. 6: The mystery is that Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and share in the promise in Christ through the gospel (That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel; Ephesians 3:6 c).
