God’s mercy is great—He forgives sin, iniquity, and transgression, showing love to thousands of generations. However, He is also just and will not let the guilty go unpunished. Sometimes, children suffer consequences for the sins of their parents, but God’s mercy is even greater and lasts longer than His anger.
