Genesis 22:11
Genesis 22:11-14: Isaac Rescued These verses show how God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac at the very last moment. The story changes from a scene of sadness and fear to one of relief and joy. God saw Abraham’s faith and provided a ram as a substitute offering. The place was named Jehovah-jireh, meaning “The Lord will provide.” This event teaches us that God sees our needs, rewards our faith, and can provide help exactly when it is needed.v. 11-12: As Abraham was about to kill Isaac, the angel of the Lord called out from heaven, telling him to stop (Genesis 22:11-12 a). God said that now He knew Abraham truly feared Him, because Abraham was willing to give up his only son. God’s tests are not to hurt us, but to show and strengthen our faith. When we are willing to give everything to God, He often lets us keep our blessings.
