Hebrews 13:2
v. 2: The writer says, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares” (Hebrews 13:2 a). This means Christians should welcome guests and help people they do not know, because God sometimes tests people’s kindness in this way. In the Bible, people like Abraham and Lot welcomed strangers who turned out to be angels (Genesis 18:1–3; 19:1–3 b).
