The blood of Christ is what makes this new testament certain and powerful. v. 15 : Christ is the Mediator of the new testament. His death sets people free from the sins they committed under the first covenant. Because of Jesus, everyone who is called by God can receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. These are the gifts Jesus gives to those who belong to him (Hebrews 9:15 ).
