‏ Hosea 13:10-11

v. 10–11: God reminds Israel that when they wanted a king instead of trusting Him, He allowed them to have one, but now He will take the king away in His anger (Hosea 13:10-11 a). God asks, “Where is your king now to save you?” This shows that trusting in human leaders instead of God leads to disappointment and loss. Though they demanded a king to lead them, now, in their time of trouble, no king or ruler can help them. Only God has the power to rescue His people, but they rejected Him.
