Hos 2:7 | MHM | STEP | v. 7 : Israel will try to run after her lovers (other gods), but she will not catch them. She will search for them but not find them. Then she will say, “I will go back to my first husband, for I was better off then than now.” God hopes that when Israel finds no satisfaction in idols, she will remember how good it was when she was faithful to Him, and she will want to return.
