Isa 50:7-8 | MHM | STEP | v. 7 : The Messiah is courageous because he trusts God. The Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed . Jesus was bold and determined, knowing that God would help him and that he would not fail (Psalm 37:6 ).

v. 7: The Messiah is courageous because he trusts God. The Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed . Jesus was bold and determined, knowing that God would help him and that he would not fail (Psalm 37:6 ^a).

v. 8: The Messiah is confident that God will defend him. He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? . God is close to him and will prove him right. No one can truly accuse or defeat him.
