v. 7: God wants his people to be generous and caring. Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him, and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh? . True religion is sharing with those in need—feeding the hungry, giving shelter to the homeless, and clothing the poor. We should not ignore the needs of others, especially those who are close to us. God wants our hearts and actions, not just religious rituals.
