Jer 1:15 | MHM | STEP | v. 15 : God explains that He will call powerful nations to execute His judgment. “For behold, I am calling all the tribes of the kingdoms of the north, declares the Lord , and they shall come, and everyone shall set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah” . God will gather many kingdoms under Babylon’s leadership to besiege and destroy Judah. This imagery of setting thrones at the gates shows that the invaders will take control and rule over the land.
