‏ Jeremiah 18:23

v. 23: Jeremiah finishes by asking God not to forgive these enemies, but to judge them in His anger. Forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger(Jeremiah 18:23 a). Jeremiah’s prayer comes from his deep pain and the seriousness of the people’s sin. He leaves the final judgment in God’s hands, showing that vengeance belongs to God alone.
