‏ Jeremiah 28:17

v. 17: God’s judgment on Hananiah is swift. Jeremiah declares that Hananiah will die that year because he has spoken rebellion against the Lord. Two months later, Hananiah dies, proving that his prophecy was false and confirming Jeremiah’s message as true (Jeremiah 28:17 a). This event serves as a warning to the people about the danger of listening to false prophets and rejecting God’s word.
