‏ Jeremiah 29:11

v. 11: God reminded His people of His intentions for them: "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you an expected end". While the exiles may have feared that God had abandoned them, He assured them that His plans were for their ultimate good. Even hardships were part of His design to bring about a positive outcome. His plans were working toward the "expected end"—the future restoration and blessing they hoped for.
