Jer 31:27 | MHM | STEP | God's Covenant Renewed After receiving comforting visions from God, the prophet Jeremiah shares more promises about Israel’s future. God assures His people that He will bless them with growth, end the punishment for their ancestors’ sins, and make a new and better covenant with them. These promises point forward to the time of the gospel and the coming of Jesus Christ. v. 27-28 : God promises that Israel and Judah will become numerous and prosperous again. "I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast" (Jeremiah 31:27 ). God will watch over them to build and plant, just as He once watched over them to uproot and tear down. Now, everything will work for their good, and God will bless those who turn back to Him.
