‏ Job 1:21

v. 21: Job humbled himself before God. He fell to the ground and worshipped, saying, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord . Job remembered that he came into the world with nothing and would leave with nothing. He recognized that everything he had was a gift from God. Since God is the true owner, He has the right to give and to take away. Job chose to praise God, even in his loss. This attitude is also taught in other scriptures: We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out (1 Timothy 6:7; Genesis 3:19 a; Ecclesiastes 12:7 b).
