John 11:51-52
v. 51: Caiaphas did not speak on his own, but as high priest, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for them, but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one (John 11:51-52 a). This showed that Jesus' death would have a worldwide impact. v. 52: From that day on, the leaders plotted to take Jesus’ life (John 11:53 b). This was the beginning of their final plan to arrest and kill Jesus.
