Judges 15:16
v. 16–17: Samson celebrated his victory by making up a short song: With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, have I slain a thousand men (Judges 15:16 a). He named the place Ramath-lehi, which means “the hill of the jawbone,” to remember what God had done (Judges 15:17 b). Samson did not keep the jawbone as a trophy, but threw it away when he was done, showing that the real honor belonged to God, not to the weapon or to Samson himself.
