‏ Lamentations 5:22

v. 22: They end with a humble question, fearing God’s anger might last forever. But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us (Lamentations 5:22 a). They wonder if God will always reject them, but their prayer shows hope that He will have mercy and remember His people again (Jeremiah 12:1 b). They do not want their suffering to be the end, but long for God’s forgiveness and restoration.
