Leviticus 19:18
v. 18: We must not try to get even or keep anger against others. Instead, we should forgive and forget wrongs, just as God forgives us. Most importantly, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39 a). This command is the basis for all other laws about how we treat people (Romans 13:9-10; Galatians 5:14 b). We should care for others as we care for ourselves, and do good to them as we would want them to do for us (Matthew 7:12; Job 16:4-5 c). Jesus showed us even greater love by dying for us, and He calls us to love others deeply, even to the point of sacrifice (1 John 3:16 d).
