They blindfolded Him, hit Him on the face, and then challenged Him to guess who had struck Him (Luke 22:64 ). They did this to insult His claim to be a prophet. Many other cruel and blasphemous things were said against Him (Luke 22:65 ). Those who accused Jesus of blasphemy were themselves guilty of the worst blasphemy.
