Luk 3:22 | MHM | STEP | v. 22 : As Jesus prayed, heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit came down on him in the form of a dove. Then a voice from heaven said, You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased (Luke 3:22 ). This event showed clearly that Jesus is the Son of God and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all involved in the gospel. It was a sign for John and for everyone that Jesus is the promised Savior (Isaiah 61:1; 2 Peter 1:17 ).
