Mar 1:5 | MHM | STEP | v. 5 : Many people came out from all of Judea and Jerusalem to hear John. They confessed their sins and were baptized by him in the Jordan River (Mark 1:5 ). This was the beginning of the gospel church. The people showed they wanted to change and follow God’s ways. Some of these people later became Jesus’ followers and even preached the gospel themselves. John’s ministry was like planting a small seed that would grow into a large tree (Psalm 110:3 ).
