He welcomed them and healed their sick. This shows that Jesus always cared for people’s needs, no matter where he was. He did not seek comfort or honor for himself, but continued to do good for others. Wherever Jesus went, he brought healing and hope, just as the prophecy says, the Sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings (Malachi 4:2 ).
