Mat 26:18 | MHM | STEP | v. 18 : Jesus gave special instructions. He told the disciples to go to a certain man and say, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples” (Matthew 26:18 ). “My time” meant the time of His death, which God had planned. Jesus knew exactly when it would happen. We do not know when our time will come, so we should always be ready (Ecclesiastes 9:12; John 7:6 ). Jesus invited Himself to this man’s house, showing His authority as the Master. He did not ask, He commanded. When we welcome Jesus into our lives, He brings His people with Him (John 14:21; Revelation 3:20 ).
