Numbers 1:49
v. 49, 54: The Levites were not counted with the other tribes, but were numbered separately later (v. 49 a). Their service in the tabernacle was called a "warfare," meaning it was hard work and required full dedication (Numbers 4:23 b). Because of this, they did not have to fight in battles. This shows that those who serve God should not let other jobs distract them. Ministers and spiritual leaders should live in a way that sets a good example for others and focus on their holy work.
