v. 14: The psalmist observes, For your servants hold her stones dear and have pity on her dust . God’s people love even the ruins of Jerusalem. Their hearts are moved by the broken pieces of the city, and they pray for its restoration. When God’s people care about His church, it is a sign that He will soon help them.
