Psa 148:5 | MHM | STEP | v. 5–6 : The psalmist explains why all these things should praise the Lord : Let them praise the name of the Lord , for he commanded and they were created (Psalm 148:5 ). God made everything by His word. He gave each thing its place and purpose. He keeps them going by His power. He has established them forever and ever; he has made a decree which shall not pass (Psalm 148:6 ). God’s creation follows His laws, and we should praise Him for both making and sustaining everything. Because God keeps the waters above the heavens in their place, the earth is safe and fruitful.
