‏ Romans 8:24-25

v. 24: “For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?” (Romans 8:24 a). Our salvation includes a hope for what is coming. If we already had everything now, we would not need to hope. But we wait with hope for what God has promised.

v. 25: “But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance” (Romans 8:25 b). Because we hope for what is not yet seen, we must wait patiently and keep trusting God’s promises, even when it is hard.
