‏ Romans 8:31

God Is for Us

This section gives great encouragement to believers by showing how much God is on their side. Paul asks a series of questions to make Christians think about the security and love they have in Christ. He reminds them that God has already given the greatest gift—his own Son—so they can trust him for everything else. No one can successfully accuse or condemn those whom God has accepted. Nothing can separate believers from Christ’s love, no matter what happens in life or death.

v. 31: Paul begins, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 a). He wants us to realize that if God is on our side, no enemy is strong enough to defeat us.
