‏ Romans 9:20-21

v. 20: “But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why have you made me like this?’” (Romans 9:20; Isaiah 29:16 a). Paul reminds us that God is the Creator, and we are his creatures. We are not in a position to question his decisions.

v. 21: “Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?” (Romans 9:21 b). God is like a potter, and we are like clay. He has the right to shape us as he chooses.
